A maiden edition of youth mission conference holds between 6th and 7th October, 2023 at Zion Baptist Centre, Elekara, Oyo with the theme; Raising Joshua Generation for Christ, Text: Joshua 1:1-9
The conference witnessed a large turnout as expected. It features the following among others; Song ministration, Bible Study, Prevailing Prayers, Theme Interpretation, Messages, Deliverances, impartation, Drama presentation and identification of call/ministry.
The goal of this conference is to encourage the mission and youths minded individual to arise in taking the land (world) for Christ across various continents of the world.
In responding to this clarion call, thirty-six new ministries (Nigeria 24, other nations 12) have indicated their interest in collaborating with Lamp of God Proclaim Outreach and Surecare foundation.
The guest ministers in attendance were Evangelist Dr. Upoh Daniel (Nazarawa), Apostle Benjamin Twebaze (Uganda), Rev. Okunlola (Oyo), Yomi Apala (Ogbomoso), Rev, Dr. Kehinde (Oyo).
We thank God for testimonies that emanated from the program, among which are following:
- People gave their lives to Christ.
- Many afflictions lingering for years healed.
- A deaf young lady was healed by power of God.
- The participants were admonished to imbibe the quality of Joshua generation by walking by faith and not by sight 2 Cor. 5:7
- They are to be courageous and they should not fear challenges Dan. 1:8
- They should be a distinct generation. A generation that will not join others to do evils. 2Cor. 6:12
- They should be zealous generation. A generation that will be ever ready to be used by God (Number 32:12)
- Upright and obedient generation (Numbers 14:6, Number 32:12)
- Risk taking and word-driven generation (Number14:10a, Daniel 3:17, Josuha1:8)
As Joshua accomplished the divine purpose of leading the Israelite to the promised land, so we must transform the entire world until they all conform into the full stature of Christ (Eph. 4:11-13).
